BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has said the journey of another artificial government has begun with ‘dummy’ candidates, results, parliament members and oaths.
He made the remarks in a press briefing at the party’s Nayapaltan central office in the capital Dhaka on Friday afternoon.
“The journey of another artificial government started yesterday (Thursday) with ‘dummy’ candidates, voters, agents, observers, results, parliament members and oaths in the history of Bangladesh,” Rizvi said.

“Before the term of the ‘night parliament’ ends, issuing gazette, hurriedly taking oath and forming government unprecedentedly quickly prove an unknown fear grips her (Sheikh Hasina), he said.
“Life falls into such sleeplessness, uncertainty and fear when the throne is made on a house of cards in the cycle of everything illegal, fake and forgery,” he added.
The BNP senior leader said the country’s people finally rejected fascist Sheikh Hasina by boycotting the ‘dummy’ election.
“The January 7 so-called polls was a clear public verdict in favour of boycotting ‘dummy’ election of fascist Sheikh Hasina and this dummy government is a continuation of 1/11 (government),” Rizvi said.
BNP organizing secretary advocate Abdus Salam, health affairs secretary Dr Rafiqul Islam, executive members Khandaker Abu Assaf, Aminul Islam and Tarikul Islam Tenjing were, among others, present at the press briefing.
