The government has adjusted the class schedule for all government primary schools in response to the ongoing cold wave across the country.
According to a notice by the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education on Monday, the government primary schools are set to begin at 10am. a shift from the previous start time of 9am.
This adjustment will be in place until January 31.
The previous order to close schools in districts where the temperature drops below 10°C will continue, the notification said.
The lowest temperature of 8.1°C on Monday was recorded in Naogaon’s Badalgachi upazila and Dinajpur, while the highest temperature of 27.6°C the previous day was recorded in Cox’s Bazar’s Teknaf upazila.
