Mother commits suicide after killing two children in Khulna

The tragic incident occurred on Saturday (Jan 27) around 2 pm, said Khulna’s Additional Superintendent of Police Asif Iqbal.
The victims were identified as seven-month-old Omar Ali Sardar and four-year-old Fatima Khatun.
According to Asif Iqbal, a family dispute led Abdul Mannan Sardar’s wife, Dolly Begum, to kill her two children by pressing a pillow against them.
Following this horrifying act, she committed suicide by hanging herself at home.
Upon receiving the information, the police went to the scene, recovered the bodies, and transported them to the Dumuria Upazila Health Complex.
Asif Iqbal also mentioned that the incident is under further investigation to determine if there were any other contributing factors.
