The National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB), the state-owned publishing house looking after the printing and distribution scheme, on Tuesday said that it would give rational corrections to the textbooks soon.
Earlier the board on January 1 issued a press release and requested the authorities concerned to share any linguistic or informational inconsistency in the new textbooks with the board.
It also urged all to share their advice for the development of the textbooks.
On Tuesday, a press release signed by the NCTB chairman Professor Md Farhadul Islam, read that they had already got some opinions about the textbooks.
The board was considering these and the board would evaluate these rationally following which it will give corrections, the release continued.
Soon the corrections would be sent to the educational institutes, students and the media, it added. In 2023, the government introduced new national school curriculum to Classes I, VI and VII across the country. Soon after the distribution of free textbooks, experts pointed out some mistakes, prompting the NCTB to publish corrections in some textbooks.
