3 killed hit by train in Tangail

Three people, including a father and son, were killed in a train accident in Kalihati upazila of Tangail.
The incident took place at the Analiabari area of the upazila around 8:30pm on Friday.
The deceased were identified as Ratan, 27, and his son Sunny, 6, from Jonail upazila in Natore, and Sharif, a resident of Belpukur in Rajshahi.
Bangabandhu Bridge East police station Sub-Inspector Tayub Ali said: “On Friday night, in the Analiyabari area, a Dhaka-bound inter-district bus from Natore broke down. At that time, the passengers were walking along the highway, right beside the railway line, while the bus was being repaired. At one stage, the trio were fatally hit by the Dhaka-bound Nilphamari-Grami Chilahati Express train.”
Ali Akbar, sub-inspector of Tangail Railway Station, said the bodies of the three would be recovered from the spot and handed over to them through legal process.
