Huge foreigners visit regularly in DITF

Diplomats and foreigners, including commercial counsellors of various foreign missions, high commissions and embassies, working in Bangladesh, visiting the ongoing Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF) 2024 at Purbachal everyday.
Director General of Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) Mahbubur Rahman said, “I’ve visited different stalls. Our trade fair achieves our goal. Everyday many foreigners are visiting our stalls and getting information for buying more products.
He said we’re trying to make it in line with the international standard gradually.
Different seminars, product introduction, and discussions by local and international renowned people are arranged at the fair ground, he said.
“To make the DITF an international standard one, we’ll lay emphasis on pavilion selection. Only the country’s popular brands will be given allotment. A healthy environment will be ensured,” he said. Participating export-oriented manufacturers have expressed their as usual happiness on spot orders this year.
Bangladesh had bagged spot orders worth Tk 157 crore from both domestic and foreign buyers last year.
EPB Vice Chairman A.H.M. Ahsan said that we are hoping to see more visitors in the coming days as the political situation has been improved. We are also hoping for more spot orders from the buyers this year as a European union team has confirmed us to visit the fair.
Chitto Ronjon, Head of Marketing at Regal Furniture said, “We have brought quality, durable and stylist furniture keeping in mind the preferences and affordability of the customers. Customers are enjoying up to 25 percent discount on selected items apart from 10 percent flat discount on all items.” He also said we are hoping that we will best in spot orders for export than previous year. Various foreign buyers already visited our stall and expressed their satisfaction.
