Two armed members of Kuki-Chin National Front (KNF) were killed in an operation held by the Bangladesh Army at a forest of Bandarban today (April 28).
A notification was issued by the Inter Services Public Relations Directorate (ISPR) said that they were shot dead in an army operation in the remote Baklai Para area of Ruma.
At this time, three firearms, a large amount of ammunition, walkie-talkie, and other equipment were recovered, said the notification.

Meanwhile, on Sunday morning, locals informed the police after they saw two bullet-hit bodies in a forest in Prangsa union parishad’s 6 number ward’s Bakla forest area of districts Ruma Upazila.
Locals said, there were incident of heavy firing in the area from Saturday afternoon to this morning. Later, they informed the police about two bullet hit bodies.
Officer-in-charge (OC) of Thanchi police station Jasim Uddin said the place of occurrence is in Ruma upazila but in bordering and nearby areas of Thanchi upazila.
Therefore, members of Thanchi police have been sent there. Details will be known later, the official added.
Bandarban Additional Superintendent of Police Raihan Kazemi said, “We have received information that the bodies of two KNF members have been recovered and the police are going to the spot. As the joint operation is ongoing, ISPR will provide details.”
