Parents and relatives of students and civilians who were killed in violence during the Quota Reform Movement and anti-government protests in July and August placed seven-point demand including formation of a special tribunal.
They made the demands at a human chain organised by the families of the victims at the Central Shaheed Minar on Wednesday.
From the morning people from different parts of the country, including the capital Dhaka, started gathering on the premises of the Central Shaheed Minar.

From the human chain, the family members of the martyrs said that the then-government and police cold-bloodedly carried out genocide by shooting at the peaceful and justified student movement.
They emphasised that this genocide must be brought to justice soon, and former prime minister Sheikh Hasina must be held accountable for it.
They also demanded immediate arrest of all perpetrators involved in the killings and called for making a list of affected families to provide them with support.
Their other demands included bringing everyone involved in the genocide, including Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader, former home minister Asaduzzaman Khan, and all those military and civilian administrators involved, to justice through a special tribunal.
