Monkeypox or Mpox virus is caused by the monkeypox virus. According to World Health Organisation (WHO), Mpox is transmitted to humans when they maintain physical touch with infected people or animals and contaminated things. In some cases, Mpox can result in serious health issues.
On August 14,WHO declared Mpox virus as a global public health emergency for the second time in 2 years. It takes initially 21 days to show symptoms of the virus, if exposed. During the incubation period that is 17 days, the infected person may not show any symptoms that are mentioned below.
Symptoms:
The symptoms of Mpox virus includes skin rashes, fever, head pain, muscle pain, swollen lymph nodes, blisters and weakness among people infected by it.

Preventions:
By avoiding coming in touch with the infected ones, you can prevent Mpox virus. Separate yourself from others, distance yourself from your pets too and avoid going out frequently and unnecessarily. Take the advise of your local doctor for any health guidelines on the viral virus. Use alcohol-based sanitizer or soap after touching damaged tissues. To prevent the transmission, using bandages to cover your infection prone areas can be effective.
Treatment:
At present, there aren’t any scientifically proven treatment to cure Mpox. However, chances to recover is possible when a person has no skin problem or he/she is having a strong immune system.
