Metro rail authorities will cut the interval between arrivals of trains at every station by 2 minutes to 8 minutes from February 17 considering the pressure of passengers. MAN Siddique, managing director of Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL), said that they will operate trains every eight minutes during peak hours and every 10-12 minutes during off-peak hours. Meanwhile, Metro rail trains are operating on the Uttara-Motijheel route from 7:30am to 8:40pm. The gap between the arrival of trains in each station is 10 minutes during peak hours and 12 minutes during off-peak hours.
