Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCA) has announced the new timetable for the upcoming Ramadan.
MAN Siddique, managing director of the metro rail service, said at a press conference on Sunday (March 10) afternoon that there will be no change in the metro rail operation for the first 15 days of Ramadan.
However, during the last 15 days of Ramadan, the service time will increase by one hour in both directions.
The last train from Motijheel will leave at 9:40 pm and the last train from Uttara will leave at 9:20 pm.
MAN Siddique said 10 more trains will run from 16th Ramadan. At that time, the metro rail will run 194 times a day.
He also said that 250 ml bottles can be carried before and after the time of Iftar. In this case, the water bottle must be thrown in the bin. The iftar schedule will be displayed on LED screens inside and outside the train.
At present, the last metro train from Uttara to Motijheel leaves at 8:00 pm and the last train from Motijheel to Uttara leaves at 8:40 pm.
