Pakistan’s Foreign Secretary Amna Baloch is scheduled to arrive in Dhaka today for a bilateral meeting with her Bangladeshi counterpart, marking a step forward in diplomatic engagement between the two countries.
The Foreign Secretary-level talks will be held tomorrow (17 April) at the State Guest House Padma, where Foreign Secretary Md. Jasim Uddin will represent Bangladesh.
Discussions are expected to cover a broad range of issues, including trade and investment, defence cooperation, agriculture, aviation, and information and communication technology.
Bangladesh’s outstanding financial claims against Pakistan may also be raised during the meeting.
Md. Iqbal Hussain Khan, Bangladesh’s High Commissioner to Pakistan, noted that Islamabad is eager to enhance trade relations with Dhaka, with cotton identified as a key export item.
