Biman Bangladesh Airlines has announced schedule adjustments for several international routes, rerouting flights to avoid Pakistani airspace due to heightened tensions between India and Pakistan.
In an official statement released Friday, the national flag carrier confirmed that flights to Toronto, London, and Rome will operate on revised schedules from May 9 to May 31, 2025, as a result of Pakistan’s temporary closure of its airspace to overflying aircraft.
“These changes are necessary to ensure uninterrupted service while maintaining safety protocols,” a Biman spokesperson said, noting that the airline is actively monitoring the regional situation.
The updated departure times from Dhaka are as follows:
Dhaka–Toronto (BG305/306): Departs at 3:00 AM, advanced by 45 minutes. Return flight from Toronto remains unchanged.
Dhaka–London (BG201/202): Departs at 7:00 AM, advanced by 40 minutes. Return flight from London unchanged.
Dhaka–London (Thursdays only): Departs at 8:10 AM, also advanced by 40 minutes.
Dhaka–Rome (BG355/356): Departs at 10:45 AM, advanced by 45 minutes.
Return flight from Rome unchanged.Biman has urged all affected passengers to report to airport check-in counters in line with the revised departure times to avoid disruptions.
