Ganosamhati Andolon participated in discussions with the National Consensus Commission on Sunday morning to continue the ongoing dialogue aimed at building a national consensus on key state reforms.
The meeting, which began around 10:15 am, was chaired by Professor Ali Riaz, vice-chairman of the National Consensus Commission.
A 10-member delegation from Ganosamhati Andolon, led by its chief coordinator Zonayed Saki, attended the talks at the LD Hall of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban.
Key members of the commission, including Safar Raj Hossain, Justice Emdadul Haque, Badiul Alam Majumdar, and Iftekharuzzaman, were present at the session, which was moderated by Monir Haider, special assistant to the chief adviser.
This meeting is part of a series of talks initiated by the Consensus Commission on March 20, 2025, to engage political parties in discussions on reforms vital for the country’s governance.
To date, the commission has met with 17 political parties, including the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, and the National Citizen Party.
The National Consensus Commission, established on February 15, 2025, under the leadership of Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus, is tasked with developing a unified national stance on essential reforms.
