Jagannath University (JnU) has announced a 23-day closure combining its summer break with the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha holidays, according to an official notice issued on Tuesday.
Signed by Acting Registrar Professor Dr Md Sheikh Giash Uddin, the notice states that academic activities will remain suspended from Sunday until June 12. When accounting for weekends at both ends of the break, students will enjoy a continuous 23-day holiday.
In addition, all academic departments, institutes, and administrative offices will be closed from June 4 to June 12.
Despite the extended break, essential services—including electricity, water, gas, internet, security, and cleaning—will continue to operate as usual to maintain campus facilities during the closure.
The university is expected to resume regular activities following the end of the holiday period.
